What We Do

Welcome to the AIR Lab! We are a psychology research lab at Oregon State University filled with minds that are eager to explore!

Our research typically falls under three categories: adjustment, identity, and racism. Adjustment refers to coping mechanisms that marginalized individuals develop due to their unique experiences. Identity refers to how an individual views others and themselves based on their identity characteristics. Racism refers to how racial factors play into the lives of communities of color and how it affects their psychological well-being, perception of themselves, and more.

These three categories are our main focuses, but our lab does not limit itself when researching new topics. Other subjects that we typically dive into are substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and more.

Overall, the main goal our lab strives toward is making a substantial impact on psychological research, not only here at OSU but within the academic community.
